A Little Family Time

I wanted to introduce you to some of my furry family members.
Actually, I've been experimenting with my new Canon EOS Rebel my WONDERFUL HUSBAND gave me for Christmas.

The Big Husky is Sarge, and the Husky mix is Miley ...aka Stupid Dog!
My husband started calling her that after she dug up our electric lines a few times.
All I heard was "Your Stupid Dog"...and now she answers to that nickname.

 Say Cheese!
Best Friends!
This was definitely a pic worth taking!

Hand Sewn Marker Wrap.

I have lived in Trenton for over 15 years and NEVER thought to go into the little quilt shop on the main drag.
I am glad I did.
They have the most adorable fabrics I have ever seen.
I even picked up a class schedule...guess who just found another craft to get into???
So any who, I made this (very simple) tool wrap. It has to be simple, given my ineptitude for sewing!
It was the fabric that caught my eye!

Not bad for a first attempt!
Keep on crafting!

Finally Done.

Been working on this for a while. Finally finished it.
The tree represents our work family, the signs with our store # and grand opening date, the roots state our value wheel ethics, but most importantly, the names "carved" into the trunk are the names of associates who have passed away.
We wanted to memorialize them by ensuring they are a permanent part of our stores history!
Now I'm going home, propping my feet up and relax.
Happy crafting!

Butterfly card

This was so much fun to make. Feel free to print the pics so you can use them to case this project.

Finish the front and back, add a few heat set crystals, and you have a card, I'm sorry...a piece of artwork!
Enjoy.

Set aside all your embellishments, paper, ribbon and dye cuts... And dip your dye cuts and paper dye cuts in melted embossing powder.
It's AMAZING how dull your pattern paper looks when you start using this technique.
